Quiet as a mouse

Another one taken on the way home from work on Christmas Eve. The streets were so quiet as most people were at home with their families preparing for the following day, it's not often we see this.

Linking up with Skywatch Friday and Tom's signs.

Those streets really are empty - and very inviting.

My other half (English) has photos like that taken from the middle of the main street in Methven in the middle of a weekday. He thought it was hilarious that on such long straight roads (Canterbury) he couldn't see a sign of life in either direction.

I love how things quiet down on Christmas eve. I always think about people who don't have people to stay with though.

Nice to see empty streets. Seems like we never slow down here... always busy, even on Christmas eve.
