I remember this scene in Paihia in Summer 2021. The man sitting on a chair on the left usually lives in Kerikeri, where we lived but I was surprised to see him here too but he was working on a piece of crochet with his needles, strange and cool but true. I wonder if he's on a quest to make as much as he can? Sometimes he would stand on a street with a sign saying "gratitude for a haircut" so I'm guessing he wasn't very well off but he seemed to be a nice person.

He sure gets around. I've seen a group of men knitting in Galway a few years ago, people would stop and take photos.
He could have joined the handy man franchise sort of company for work opportunities

That´s pretty unusual I´d say. Not many man does that. And in public too.
It's hard feeding folk when a person doesn't have a decent paycheck. I remember cashing in milk bottles at month's end to buy food for our twin babies. That was when I was first in the Army as a private.
We in the U.S. rank peanut butter and jelly sandwiches right below our national favorite, the hamburger. Grape jelly is traditional but I prefer strawberry preserves and peanut butter.

I've had my New Zealand Family staying and going through a batch of your recent posts has made me even more 'home'sick.
I think Tom Daley made it socially acceptable (cool even) for men to knit and crochet. It's very good for mental health too, apparently. Thanks for joining #Allseasons
