So Greymouth being originally an old mining town is full of houses from different eras. There are Victorian, art deco, 1950s, 1960s and modern. These 3 are just a few examples of what I've seen in my neighbourhood.

We don't see this sort of architecture here. Interesting how one's geographical location can almost be deduced by seeing the buildings found there.

It's funny those suburbs where everything is still intact!
The second photo with the house with the long narrow window looks odd. Art Deco I presume and are those faux shutters. I love pic no 3 the classic old style kiwi home. You have a variety that's for sure
Don't like the 2nd house. The 1st and 3rd have character.
So 'home'. Ive always had a soft spot for villas and colonial syle houses with front verandahs like ths last one.
Our houses in my corner of the world certainly look different than these.
Happy Tuesday, Amy!
...we have several Art Deco houses here. If the one was mine, I would remove the shutters!
I like that mix.
What a fun comparison Amy! I'll take the old please (it figures, goes along with my age).
Oh, I just could not decide where to live in!
That modern one is very sleek.
The one with the picket fence looks great.
I love watching "house hunting" shows on TV - but am really quite content to live where I do, in a rented flat...
Not much space between
