We were sight seeing a couple of weeks ago and stopped at a petrol station to fill up my son's car. Next door was this establishment named the Ikamatua Hotel. Also a pub they apparently offer accommodation to travellers. In just about every town here there is either a historical or new pub.
Linking up with Skywatch Friday and Tom's Signs.

This looks inviting.
Every town has its pub. The gathering place in every little settlement I suppose. This one reminds me of the little pub at Pukehina beach next door to the place we stayed 15 years ago. Basic but friendly and full of locals drinking good cold beer.
The hotel appears so clean and tidy. Looks like a good place to spend the night.
...it obvious isn't a part of hotel chain! Thanks for sharing.
Looks good! I'd stay there. Is that your camper in the header picture? (I'll scroll down see if there's a post about it; as usual I'm behind.)
Looks like you can get a lot of stuff there, including propane.
That little pub looks like it is thriving - great to see :)
Anything like this is intriguing to me. All I see anymore in my area are corporate chains... whether it's motels, hotels, restaurants, whatever. They all look exactly the same!
Cold Beer. Count me in. ;)
I wonder what the rooms are like.
I like small establishments.
Worth a Thousand Words
It looks like the place has character.
F belives she might have spent a night of her honeymoon there around 4 decades ago.
Through your lens we get to see a Ma and Pa pub and place to stay not a hotel chain. Cool!
