Tea and Tattoos

At Paihia there are a few little alleyways leading to different types of shops. In this particular one is a clothing shop at the end, an art gallery to the right and a tattoo studio to the left. I like the vintage looking words on the wall saying "Tea 1 and6 per pound (lb)".

Covid news: as of today we have 31 cases and counting in Auckland and Wellington with over 100 places of interest. The suspicion has been on a person who flew back from New South Wales in Australia who was infected, possibly the virus spread while they were in hotel quarantine. We are all in lockdown for another 4 days and It'll be quite some time before we will be walking around public places again. Masks are mandatory when entering places that are essential services such as chemists, supermarkets or doctors but there are people who are refusing to do their bit in keeping everyone safe. All other businesses are closed but on a positive note the amount of people getting their vaccines has flown upwards, B and my 2 adult children have had theirs done now.

As someone from germy NSW, I grimace a bit reading that - 31 already! That's a worry. We just got another month lockdown and the protesters are coming again (they come to our area to protest for some reason - which then brings it all with them here).
Our hospitals are already struggling. I don't get they don't understand it will impact paramedics ability to attend car crashes, heart attack patients ability to attend ER and cancer patients ability to get treatment - they don't seem to understand what's going on at all. It's such a worry.
Stay safe.

I have family members who have had their vaccine appointments cancelled (they were meant to have them today, Saturday) and haven't been able to get another appointment until the end of September. They are not happy.

You must be relieved the whole family is vaccinated now. Just do what you to enjoy quarantine. Baking and drinking helps πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Sorry to hear you are in lockdown once again. It is sad that some people cannot see the greater picture and just follow the rules. Looking at the demonstrations in Sydney today is a worry as it's a sure way of spreading the virus.

A nice place, there.
The rest of your post.... oh. Do we have a chance of a normal life again?
Money is there for trying to get to Mars, but...??? Covid, cancer, pfffft. Who cares?
Rules, like masks, distance... so many just don´t care, I don´t get it!
Some stores took off the distance-markers and BOOM! - people sit in my neck and I really learn to get loud and tell them off.
At least I "adult", LOL (I´m a shy introvert in "normal" life).
Craziest - scariest times.

Love tea, but wouldn't be able to enjoy it much while getting a tattoo. Nice find!

Nice street photo. I love tea (tattoos not so much!) Sorry the virus is spreading. Schools started here this week (after the summer holidays), remains to be seen how that affects things here. But they are also giving the vaccine to 16-18 year olds now and it will probably soon also be given to kids from 12 and up. So they're hoping to be able to keep schools open most of the time this year.

I neither like tea or tattoos. Have a great week ahead and stay safe.

I enjoy exploring little alley-way shopping areas like that (or at least I used to back when shopping was more fun -- now pretty much all my alley-ways are on-line )). ... we are having a resurgence of covid here in Oregon too (as I guess pretty much everywhere). We have all had our vaccinations, so it isn't quite as bad (we have actually gone out to eat a couple of times!) -- but I still worry.
