This morning in an effort to getting rid of that cabin fever feeling we drove out to Te Puna Quarry Park, somewhere I haven't visited in over a year. Near the entrance this part was chained off but naughty me sneaked in and got this quick shot of one of the pink Magnolia trees starting to bloom.
In the Rhododendron garden these pinks and reds caught my eye, looks like the insects were enjoying the flowers too.
Near the end of the path was this garden floor covered in a sea of red and white flowers due to the Magnolia and Rhododendron trees towering above.

The rhododendrons are a glorious colour. Am surprised they are already in full flower. Have a good week.
It was worth a sneak peak to photograph these beautiful flowers and blooms. Nice!
Nice work Amy, sometimes you just have to do what you have to do to get the shot 😀 gorgeous spring blooms!
I always enjoyed the magnolias. I very rarely see them in Scotland although there are rhododendrons in profusion.
Beautiful, Amy. Odd to think that it will be another 8 months or so before those plants start blooming over here. What a wonderful world we live in!
What wonderful blooms.
Beautiful shots!
Spring is rhododendron season, isn't it. Love these showy blooms.
Worth a Thousand Words
Spring is coming. The magnolias by me started to bloom last week.
Gorgeous Spring blossoms and magnolias are amazing, indeed! It looks so magical that path covered in a sea of red and white flower... In here, being close to autumn, it is so nice to see one more time, aspects from the lovely Springtime.
A very nice day and week!
