The old house on blocks in Te Puke
On our tiki tour a while back we were out and about in Te Puke a small farming settlement about 20 minutes from Tauranga. On one of the country back-roads we passsed by an old house on piles which looked like it was now being used as a woolshed. I didn't venture inside as it was on private property but I did stand by the driveway and take some shots of it, unfortunately historical research on it didn't uncover anything very interesting.
Linking up this week with Macro Monday (the top shot of an Echevaria at Whakatane Hill Cemetery) and Our World Tuesday :-)

I love all of your posts. I was brought up in the puke. This old house reminds of an old one my brother and his wife bought and did up. Beautiful once it was finished but a lot of work.
What a lovely house it must have been!
Look at the beautiful setting.
Worth a Thousand Words
It does look an interesting building. How frustrating you couldn't find out any information about it.
Great photo of an interesting house. Back then houses were built to last - and last!
Interesting. I've seen houses on stilts in swampy country to keep the water out.
Interesting place :) Can understand why you made a stop.
Great house! Now I am curious about it. So bad your research didn't uncover anything interesting. #OurWorldTuesday
Probably a much nicer shed than many a sheep would see.
Very interesting place.
