Mangonui Fish and Chip Shop

This place is one of my favourite Northland scenes. The Mangonui Fish Shop has won awards over the years for making the best fish and chips in NZ. Located overlooking the Mangonui harbour on the way to Cable Bay then Pahia this place certainly has a peaceful atmosphere - and with scenery like this who wouldn't want to enjoy a nice quiet lunch there.

Linking up with Skywatch Friday.

What a great location to sit and enjoy fish and chips. A lovely scene surrounded by all that blue, it's so pretty.

Oh, yes, it made me hungry right away, even before I knew it was a restaurant! The ripples in the building's reflection are lovely, aren't they?
Thanks for sharing.

I remember Mangonui well. We were on our way to Doubtless Bay with it's out-of-this-world beaches. One thing I recall about Mangonui is that the supermarket was built out over the shoreline.

There's nothing better than eating on the waterfront -- especially beautiful blue water like this. What a gorgeous view ... and needless to say, our kind of place.
