Autumn in Hamilton

This morning we drove out to the nearby town of Hamilton and out to their suburb Te Rapa as the other half had a job interview there. Lots of lovely Autumn colours are just starting.

Toadstools in amongst the autumn leaves - something I like to see because you can get so many different colours and types.

Another thing I like to do is to walk in and on the leaves - just love that crunching sound.

Linking up with Skywatch Friday here :-)

  1. Amy,

Our seasons are opposite. We're enjoying spring thunderstorms or bright blue skies. What an interesting mushroom! I've only seen something like this in a children's story. Did you see any fairies? Very nice!

  2. Fascinating to see autumn leaves while we're getting spring rain and waiting on tulips.

  3. Crunching leaves and out spotting fungi. Sounds a delightful walk.

  4. I don't think I have been there in autumn but I bet it's gorgeous.

  5. The red polka-dot toadstool is the BEST! I quite expect a brownie or elf to jump out from under it -- looks like something from a fairy tale~ >>))) I can almost hear those leaves crunch.... I like to do that too.

  6. I like your toadstool photo. It looks a bit like a sesame coated burger bun.
