Views from the Butterfly Garden at Te Puna Quarry

Last week I drove out for a 2nd visit to Te Puna Quarry Gardens and since it was a very very warm sunny Spring day I didn't just limit myself to taking photos of one particular area. This time I walked around 3/4 of the gardens - this shot was taken from the Butterfly Garden section.

This part of the garden was full of annuals and perennials - perfect for the bees and butterflies.

The gardens look lovely. As we are moving closer to winter with our dark and dismal days it is a pleasure to see bright blue skies and sunnier photos.

I recognize a few of those flowers, we load up our backyard with butterfly/hummingbird attracting flowers every summer. It looks like a great place to hang out.

The best part of any Botanical Garden just has to be the Butterfly Garden. Love this one ... And the memories of Spring!

That is gorgeous! I thought the butterfly sculpture was real at first and was impressed with its size.
