Surfcasting at Orere Point

Now that we're back from our Labour weekend holiday at Orere Point, we're glad to be back home. I got out and about on quite a few walks around the area and down to the local beach, one shot I took yesterday was off this fishermen surfcasting with eager seagulls swooping overhead.

the gulls looks huge in your image. Nice catch :)

The gull may have photobombed the angler; but its presence made for a more interesting image.

The gulls look so graceful in flight.

Oh yeah, those gulls are looking for an easy meal , letting someone else do the work )) but they are pretty to watch. Beautiful beach.

My dad loved to surf fish. I remember going to the beach with him as a little girl. - Margy
