Rowing in the low tide in Otumoetai
Despite it being very windy here this week the sun has been well needed, on the way home tonight I happened to spot these rowers going back and forth along the water near the bridge and motorway. Sadly the tide was out so unfortunately I was unable to venture out onto the sand in amongst the puddles of sea water to get a closer shot...

Wow, that's quite a tidal shift! I imagine it would have been tricky venturing out in that 'muck'
seems a bit risky to row in the low tide :) They might get stuck in the mud.

yes, that's why I didn't go out there, I stayed on the shore, wonder how they got their boat out of the water?
I love tidelands, but agree I would definitely not want to be rowing just then. That mud might be quick sand!
