Autumn Moon over Kawau Island

While going through my archives this morning I found this shot from a couple of years back, one of those ones I use to take while out fishing - Kawau Island is just off the coast of the Tawharanui Peninsula and home to historic Mansion House.  All stunning places to explore in NZ. Yes I'm one of those people who takes my camera everywhere I go...

When I look at this image, I dream of vacations in far off lands with lots and lots of coconuts.

Oh, I love the golden moonlight on the water! From our window, the moonlight on the water is more silvery. Regardless... I think moonlight on the water is romantic. :)

That's fabulous! It's one of those 'bucket list' photos that most of us would love to get.

I love Kawau. I really miss it, now that we are without a boat. We used to sail there all the time, such wonderful protected anchorages. Beautiful shot of the moon.

great picture! I love the blue line going from the moon to the island, as if there is magic being exchanged.
